ImpulZ

ImpulZ is a show in which the audience – literally – has its fingers on the button, interacting with a dancer in the middle of the stage.
The children can trigger sounds by pushing buttons. That sound is converted live into a musical soundscape containing cues recognized by the dancer.
A choreographic box of building bricks is created as contribution to one new dance sequence after another.

The scenography is an installation: A wall of hand-made instruments on one side and a button landscape surrounding it. The children and families are seated in front of the landscape, that allows them to control the wall of instruments.
The generated sounds are cues for the dancer, but the musician can manipulate them if he chooses to.
The dancer can in turn also influence the audience, the musician and the button landscape.

The audience is a co-creator in a very literal sense, every party gets decisive power. Both dance and composition are contemporary instant creations, improvised around a dramaturgical structure. It's a bold production with many variables that will be different every time.

In ImpulZ Anke is in search of new borders to investigate and tear down.
